Information about SASLI 2024 courses will appear here as it becomes available. Syllabi will be posted on the first day of classes (June 17th).

For distance learning students, Zoom links will be provided by your instructors via Canvas after the course page has been published.

All courses meet Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (CDT), with one thirty-minute break. No classes will be held on July 4, 2024.

How to get these books: stop by the CSA (Center for South Asia) office and pay for the books with cash (exact change only).CSA hours of operation are as M-Th 9:15-4:30 and F 9:15-3:30. This pair of textbooks is $65. Another way would be to purchase your textbooks online (if you prefer to use a credit card). The online store is configured to automatically charge shipping (which CSA can refund), and students can stop by CSA to pick up their textbooks during the first week of class.

NOTE: Spoken Hindi in Social Context and Theme based vocabulary and affixes of Hindi can only be purchased at the UW-Madison Center for South Asia bookstore.
