- SASLI is an intensive, 8-week language learning program equivalent to one year’s worth of language study during the academic year (i.e., two semesters).
- Classes meet for 4 hours per day, Monday-Friday. Students are expected to attend class daily, as one class is the equivalent of one week during the academic year.
- Students receive two grades: one at the end of the first semester and a second at the end of the second semester.
- Each semester is worth 4 UW-Madison credits, with 8 credits received at the end of the program.
- Students must pass the first semester to continue to the program’s second semester.
- SASLI courses consist of 156-160 contact hours (depending on when the July 4 holiday falls).
