The application for the Summer 2024 and Academic Year 2024-2025 Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) awards is now open! FLAS fellowships are funded by the U.S. Department of Education and administered by the UW’s area studies centers to assist students in acquiring foreign language and area and/or international studies competencies. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Students in professional degree programs are encouraged to apply.
