February 24 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join us for a Zoom event on Thursday, February 24, 2022, as we highlight four African American U.S. diplomats with extraordinary language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, and Arabic. Learn about their career paths and the many language-designated opportunities at the Department of State. You will meet:

  • Rashad Jones, Former Political-Economic Chief U.S. Consulate Shenyang, China
  • Krystle Norman, Mozambique and Eswatini Desk Officer
  • Jeremiah Knight, Deputy Chief of Mission U.S. Embassy Majuro, Marshall Island
  • Aysa Miller, Economic Chief U.S. Mission Senegal, and Guinea-Bissau

In honor of Black History Month, the Department of State reaffirms our commitment to hire a diverse, talented, and inclusive workforce that reflects America’s diversity. In doing so, our foreign policy is stronger, smarter, and more creative.

Tune in to learn how you can apply your foreign languages to a Consular Fellow opportunity.
