While SASLI staff can assist with technological problems and understand some are beyond our control, we expect Virtual Learners to have the appropriate equipment and make the necessary arrangements for successful online learning. These expectations include the following:
- The device you use to participate in daily SASLI class meetings is connected directly to an Ethernet cable or close to a WiFi router to reduce the internet connectivity lag as much as possible. The device must be capable of capturing audio and video.
- Continued disruptions caused by connectivity or technological errors will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Should these disruptions affect the productivity of the class and other language learners, you may be asked to withdraw from the program without a fee refund.
- You will use a headset, headphones, or whatever else is necessary to reduce background noise.
